Data and ranking methods
Updated: October 22, 2026
Rankings and flags may use estimates; percentages are gains / current total. Net snapshot changes differ from new star events.
Data sources
Attention means GitHub stars for GitHub-hosted clients and US App Store / Google Play rating counts for store apps. These are different units. The default sort is 30-day growth rate. Rankings do not guarantee software quality, security or suitability.
Measurements and estimates
Complete star-event records are used where available. Otherwise, figures may use time-adjusted net snapshot changes, migration anchors or short-history extrapolation. Each project shows its measurement sources. Removed stars affect net changes, so snapshot differences are not counts of new star events. Missing data remains unknown, not zero.
Updates and limitations
Collection is scheduled every six hours. The homepage shows the actual data date and number of daily snapshots accumulated. API failures, rate limits and store-region differences can cause delays or discrepancies. Estimates can affect rankings and flags; also consult project details and official release records.
